Within our hearts

There was once a user from another subsidiary company that called me for help regarding his leave application in our system. He already knew that he's talking to a Pinay so he spoke in Tagalog. while I was looking into his problem, he asked if I would take a leave to go home this coming holidays, well I can't , because I have exhausted all my leaves. I can sense his excitement of going home for Christmas and his enthusiasm to file a leave earlier since most of his colleagues, which are mostly Pinoy engineers, are also eager to file their leaves. "Unahan ko na" from his owns words.
So I started getting nosy and asked him how long he's been here and true enough he only came here last March... so that's why! Usually when you're a first timer working overseas, right before leaving Pinas you've already planned your Christmas vacation or maybe even booked a ticket early on. Sensing that I was not a bit worried of spending Christmas here, he started to ask about how is Christmas here in Singapore, he heard it was not as festive in Pinas or in his own words "Hindi daw masaya ang Pasko dito" to which I replied "Wala sa lugar yan, kahit naman nasaan ka kun d ka tlaga happy e d hindi tlga happy" which he replied "Naks naman!" . Finally his leave application went through, hopefully it gets approved so I wished him luck before we bid our goodbyes.
I believe that happiness is within our hearts, ket san ka pa! *bow!*
